Material rarely leaves us in mill condition. Cutting, levelling, polishing and heat treatment happen before packing, which removes handling and scrap from your side.

Walmay operates as a mill-backed service centre: production relationships with major mills including POSCO and Tsingshan, our own inventory, and our own cutting, polishing and heat treatment lines. In practice that means you can order a single grade in a non-standard size without a mill minimum, and still receive full melt-traceable certification.

Third-party inspection by SGS, BV or TUV can be arranged before loading. Salt-spray testing on our coastal-service material exceeds 1,500 hours, and field references include 8 mm 316L exceeding 8,000 hours of crevice corrosion resistance in seawater service.
Shipments leave through Shanghai and Ningbo with regular sailings to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Typical transit is 15 to 25 days to Southeast Asian ports and 30 to 40 days to Europe and North America. We quote FOB, CIF and DAP, and can consolidate mixed-form orders into a single container so that sheet, pipe and bar arrive together against one certificate set.
Buyers researching suppliers often want the global picture first, so here it is plainly. China produces well over half of the world's crude stainless steel, and the largest single producer is Tsingshan Holding Group, one of our own supply partners. China Baowu Steel Group follows, with Taiyuan Iron and Steel within that group. Outside China the largest producers are Outokumpu in Finland, Acerinox in Spain, POSCO in South Korea, Aperam in Luxembourg, Jindal Stainless in India, Nippon Steel Stainless in Japan and Yieh United and Walsin Lihwa in Taiwan.
Stainless steel is still produced in the United States. North American Stainless in Ghent, Kentucky, part of Acerinox, is the largest domestic producer of flat-rolled stainless. Outokumpu operates a mill in Calvert, Alabama. Universal Stainless and Carpenter Technology produce specialty long products and high-performance alloys. Domestic supply is concentrated in commodity flat products, which is why buyers needing duplex, 904L, unusual sizes or processed material frequently import.
