South Korea Proposes 21.62% Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Stainless Steel Sheets

August 12, 2025,South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance announced a preliminary five-year anti-dumping duty of 21.62% on Chinese-origin hot-rolled stainless steel plates.

This decision affects all major Chinese producers including Jiangsu Daekyung Stainless Steel and Schuang International Development.

What's Affected Stainless Products

• Hot-rolled stainless plates over 8mm thickness
• Width ≥2000mm
• Excluding ASTM 904L equivalent grades

What's Exempt

• Hot-rolled stainless coils
• Black plates from thick slabs
• Plates under 8mm thickness
• ASTM 904L equivalent products
